When The Prophet went up to heaven, he went up from Jerusalem, from the site of the Jewish temple. This was Allah indicating that the true and sure way to heaven was through the Jews via the Messiah (Jesus Christ) who came to the Jews in fulfillment of the prophecy spoken to Moses: "The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him." Deuteronomy 18:15 Mohammed pointed to that prophet, who was the one Muslims call Issa and we call Jesus. Those who have lived after Mohammed died have misinterpreted what the Quran says.
@heatherhall7899  Your argument is based on the misconception that Isslaam started with Prophet Muhammad. The fact is that there is no god but Allaah, that Isslaam is the only true religion, and that all prophets starting with Adam down to Muhammad are prophets and/or messengers off Allaah. The five mighty prophets and messengers of Allaah are: Nooh, Ibraaheem, Moossa, Eessa, and Muhammad. Judaism and Christianity are deviations from Isslaam. Yahweh and Jesus are creations by the Jews and Christians. Pay attention to the effect of using the word "God" in suppressing the name Allaah, The Creator and The Possessor of the heavens and the earth: "I AM ALLAAH" (ألله), not GOD, not YAHWEH, not JESUS, not YESHU --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The expression "I am Allaah" is repeated in The Quraan 3 times relevant to Allaah's speaking directly to Prophet Moossa: - "Verily! I am Allaah! There is no god but I, so (O Moossa) worship Me and perform prayers for My Remembrance". - "O Moossa! Verily it is I, Allaah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise". - "O Moossa! Verily I am Allaah, the Lord of mankind, jinn and all that exists! "God" is a dictionary word with capital G. Those who translated the Bible deliberately provided this translation to replace the proper name of Allaah. As a name, Allaah is mentioned in the ARABIC BIBLE 2,245 times; and it is mentioned in the Quraan 2,153 times. YAHWEH is mentioned in the Arabic Bible 14 times only. God is the deity believed to have begotten a son or that he is a composite of three gods together forming the one god in trinity. Allaah has no partners, associates or sons. Also, Allaah is one beyond division. Allaah begets not and never was begotten. Allaah is The Creator. “God” is a generic word. Those who adopt this word aim at having an anonymous God. The significance of anonymity lies in the fact that every single individual can have his own God, who is actually one's vain desires. Adopting an anonymous God enables disbelievers in The Creator to claim that God gave humanity absolute free will to do anything at all, including the most heinous of inhumane crimes that have gone unpunished throughout history.

@heatherhall7899  By the time Allaah created Adam and decreed him to dwell on the earth, there were two places for the worship of Allaah, the first was in Mecca and the second was in Jerusalem. Jews were established as a community only by the time of Prophet Moossa. Daawood and Suleiman were Musslim prophets of Allaah. If Suleiman built any structure, it should have been a Massjid for the worship of Allaah, not a temple for the worship of a fake god like Yahweh. Jerusalem will be cleared of Jews by a decree of Allaah paving the way for the descent of Al-Masseehu Eessa Ibnu Maryam. Al-Massjid Al-Aqssa is the core of the Holy Land issue Allaah will send servants of great military might to render a promise fulfilled ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ETERNITY And We (Allaah) conveyed to the Children of Israel in the Book that, «You will surely cause corruption in the (Holy) Land (earth) twice, and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness. PAST STAGE So when the [time of] promise came for the first of them, We (Allaah) sent against you servants of Ours – those of great military might, and they probed [even] into the homes, and it was a promise fulfilled. CURRENT STAGE Then We (Allaah) gave back to you (Children of Israel) a return victory over them (Musslims). And We (Allaah) reinforced you (Children of Israel) with wealth and sons and made you more numerous in manpower. FUTURE STAGE «If you (Children of Israel) do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, [you do it] to yourselves.» Then when the final promise becomes due, [We (Allaah) shall send out your enemies] to sadden your faces and to enter the Massjid (Al-Aqssaa), as they entered it the first time, and to destroy (your) haughtiness with [total] destruction. It may be that your (Children of Israel) Lord (Allaah) will have mercy on you, but if you repeat (the crime) We (Allaah) shall repeat (the punishment), and We (Allaah) have appointed Jahannam a dungeon for the disbelievers.

You are under the effects of misconceptions.
The Quraan is the word of Allaah, The Creator and Possessor of the heavens and the earth.
Allaah revealed The Quraan to Prophet Muhammad in the Arabic language.
There is no 'official' translation of The Quraan into any other language.
=========================================================================
[2:113] The Jews say "The Nassaara have nothing [true] to stand on," and the Nassaara say, "The Jews have nothing to stand on," although they [both] recite THE BOOK. Thus the polytheists speak the same as their words. But Allaah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
The word "Christians" is a wrong translation of the word "Nassaara". The word "Scripture" is a wrong translation of the word "Book".
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[2:41] And believe (O Jews) in what I (Allaah) have sent down (of The Tawraah and The Injeel) confirming that (of The Tawraah) which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My (Allaah's) signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me (Allaah).
READ VERSE 2:40 TO FIND OUT THAT THIS VERSE ADDRESSES THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, NOT THE BELIEVERS IN ALLAAH.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[4:47] O you who were given the Scripture (The Book, which is The Tawraah), believe in what We (Allaah) have sent down [to Muhammad], confirming that which is with you, before We (Allaah) obliterate faces and turn them toward their backs or curse them as We (Allaah) cursed the sabbath-breakers. And ever is the decree of Allaah accomplished.
READ VERSE 4:46 TO FIND OUT THAT THIS VERSE ADDRESSES THOSE WHO HAVE BECOME JEWISH (JEWS), NOT THE BELIEVERS IN ALLAAH.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[61:6] And [mention o Muhammad] when Eessa Ibnu Maryam, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the Messenger of Allaah to you confirming what came before me of the Tawraah and bringing good tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
ALLAAH REVEALED THE INJEEL TO HIS PROPHET AND MESSENGER AL-MASSEEHU EESSA IBNU MARYAM IN THE FORM OF PROPHETIC WISDOM, NOT IN THE FORM OF A BOOK. THE TAWRAAH WHICH ALLAAH REVELED TO PROPHET MOOSSA WAS ALSO THE BOOK OF EESSA AS CONFIRMED BY THIS VERSE.

{وما قتلوه وما صلبوه ولكن شُبّه لهم...}

Here is the relevant excerpt (translated from Chapter 217 of the Gospel of

 Barnabas):

"God acted wonderfully, so that Judas was so changed in speech and in face to

be like Jesus that we believed him to be Jesus. Whereupon he was taken and

 crucified."

And a bit later in the same chapter:

"And Judas did nothing but cry out: 'God, why have you forsaken me, seeing

 that I am innocent?'"

This account aligns with certain Islamic views that Jesus (ʿEesa ibn Maryam)

was not crucified, but rather, someone else was made to appear like him — a

belief rooted in Surah An-Nisaa’ (4:157) of the Quraan.

Yes, the Gospel of Barnabas does mention the name of Muhammad, and it does so explicitly — which is notably different from the canonical Gospels.

One of the most well-known passages appears in Chapter 97 of the Gospel of Barnabas, where Jesus (referred to as Issa or Jesus) is reported to have said:

"And then shall appear the Messenger of God, who will come to save the world. But beware that you be not deceived; for many false prophets shall come, but only one shall be the true Prophet. And that Prophet shall come after me from the land of the south, and his name shall be Muhammad, blessed is his name."

There are several chapters (e.g., chapters 41, 44, 97, 112, 136) in which the name Muhammad is directly mentioned, with Jesus predicting his coming.

This mirrors the message in the Quraan, specifically Surah As-Saff (61:6), where Prophet ʿEesa (Jesus) is quoted saying:

{...O Children of Israel, indeed I am the Messenger of Allaah to you confirming what came before me of the Tawraah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad...}

While the Quraan uses the name Ahmad, which is a derivative of Muhammad, both names share the same root (
ح م د) and refer to the same individual — Prophet Muhammad.

So yes, the Gospel of Barnabas does include a direct prophecy of the coming of Prophet Muhammad by name, aligning it with the Quraanic narrative in spirit and theme — though not with any of the four canonical Gospels.

{...
يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِن بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ...}

Certainly! Here is a summary of the major points where the Gospel of Barnabas aligns with the Quraan, particularly in ways that diverge from the canonical Christian Gospels:

1. Prophet Muhammad Mentioned by Name
Gospel of Barnabas: Explicitly names Muhammad as the messenger who will come after Jesus to guide humanity.

Example: “His name is admirable, Muhammad, the Messenger of Allaah.” (Chapter 97, among others)

Quraan (61:6): Eessa says:

“…a messenger will come after me, whose name will be Ahmad.”

🟢 Consistency: Both sources predict the coming of Prophet Muhammad as the final messenger.

2. Jesus Was Not Crucified
Gospel of Barnabas: States that Judas Iscariot was made to resemble Jesus and was crucified in his place.

Quraan (4:157):

“…they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him, but [another] was made to resemble him to them…”

🟢 Consistency: Both sources reject the crucifixion of Jesus and affirm that it was someone else who was crucified.

3. Jesus Is Not the Son of God
Gospel of Barnabas: Jesus strongly denies being divine or the Son of God.

He refers to himself as a servant of God.

Quraan (5:116):

“…I never said to them except what You commanded me—to worship Allaah, my Lord and your Lord…”

🟢 Consistency: Both sources deny the divinity of Jesus and reject the doctrine of the Trinity.

4. Jesus Was a Prophet, Not a Savior through Atonement
Gospel of Barnabas: Emphasizes Jesus as a prophet sent by God, not as a sacrificial savior.

Quraan: Consistently portrays Jesus as a messenger and prophet, not one who died for sins.

🟢 Consistency: Jesus is viewed as a prophet rather than a divine redeemer.

5. Foretelling the Prophet of the End Times
Gospel of Barnabas: Jesus tells his followers that the Messiah to come is Muhammad, not himself.

Quraan: Jesus confirms the coming of another messenger after him—Ahmad (another name for Muhammad).

🟢 Consistency: The true Messiah to come is Muhammad, not Jesus himself, in both accounts.

6. Denial of Original Sin
Gospel of Barnabas: Rejects the concept of original sin inherited from Adam.

Quraan (2:286, 6:164):

“…no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another…”

🟢 Consistency: Both reject inherited sin and affirm individual responsibility.

What's the injeel?

The word "Al-Injeel" has been mentioned in The Quraan 12 times. Contrary to what people think, Al-Injeel is not a book like The Quraan which Allaah revealed to Prophet Muhammad, or the Tawraah which Allaah revealed to Prophet Moossa. Allaah revealed Al-Injeel to Prophet Al-Masseeha Eessa Ibna Maryama in the form of "prophetic wisdom" so that Essa could reform the scholars of the Children of Israel who corrupted the Tawraah, which is also the book of Eessa.

This meaning of Al-Injeel comes from the Arabic verb "najala" which has to do with the scythe or the sickle tool to separate the hay from the wheat. This is the reason why Prophet Eessa did not hold a book when he preached people. Translators of The Quraan have made a grave mistake by translating the word Al-Injeel as "the Gospel". Perhaps they were tricked to do so.

[2:87] The Quraan
And We (Allaah) did certainly give Moossa the Tawraah and followed up after him with messengers. And We (Allaah) gave Eessa Ibna Maryama clear proofs and supported him with Roohul-Quduss. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied and another party you killed.

So was it ever written down?
As a "prophetic wisdom", Al-Injeel was a gift by Allaah to the person of his Messenger Eessa to enable him to stop the corruption which had been inflicted on the Tawraah. Al-Injeel was not written down while Prophet Eessa was on the earth among the Children of Israel. The Children of Israel could not have safely had two written books in their hands. Then Al-Injeel was raised with Prophet Eessa when Allaah saved him from crucifixion by raising him to a vicinity of Allaah. The various "Gospels" that were written afterwards testify to the fact that Prophet Eessa never had a written copy of Al-Injeel, and that there was no authentic, written copy of Al-Injeel.

Jews and Christians are the "Children of Israel" to whom Allaah sent Prophet Moossa with the Tawraah.
Later on Allaah sent Prophet Eessa to the Children of Israel to confirm the Tawraah.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Children of Israel cannot have two books.
Also, Jews corrupted the Tawraah which was written by Allaah's own hand on tablets.
Had the Injeel been in the written form of a book, Jews would have corrupted it.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[2:79] So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allaah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Bible is the word of man. Jews corrupted the Tawraah, and Christians wrote the Gospels. Allaah revealed the Tawraah to Prophet Moossa, and Allaah revealed the Injeel (not a book) to Prophet Eessa. Nobody has noticed that the Jews have suppressed the mention of Prophet Moossa, who is a Messenger of Allaah, and highlighted the literature which they composed. Jews and Christians refer all matters to the Bible which they wrote with their own hands and claimed that it was from "God" instead of "Allaah".
